It Can wait Campaign

{Winner was Amanda Hoffman! Congrats!}

I’ve partnered up with AT&T to promote their no texting and driving campaign: It Can Wait.  As life gets busier, I’m on my phone a lot and these days I’m also in the car a lot picking up the kids from camp and other activities.  So I’ve taken AT&T’s pledge to NEVER text and drive because that text can wait until you park your car.

Here are some facts regarding texting and driving from the It Can Wait campaign:

  • Asian-Americans are the highest consumers of smartphones and are at high risk due to the dangers of texting and driving.
  • Deadly traffic crashes peak for teens during the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  • Drivers who text while driving are 23 times more likely to be in a crash
  • Nearly half of all adult commuters and 43% of teens admit to texting while driving.

It’s just not worth it, especially when it comes to having the kids in the car with me. So join me and pledge at www.itcanwait.com. It doesn’t cost you anything to promote this awareness.  Just check the pledge box and click submit!
